Patrick is probably a bourbon drinker. Snake would pass
You know me too well. But you should know that I am willing to choke down 1 comrade-toast-swig as a brotherhood gesture.
Then back to coffee-tea for me.

Limey travels with and delivers the good stuff, according to Patrick.

I'm with Snake in not generally drinking hard liquor but would enjoy one for the brotherhood.

Ok guys........here is the skinny.

Hunts Motorcycle Lodge:

http://www.huntslodge.com/

or

Mountain view Cabins

http://www.tellicologcabins.com/directions.htm

There is a 3rd place I have stayed at but I am leaning towards Hunts. It is better for tent folks, 12 bucks a night. There is not as many cabins so the hotel crowd may not be as happy. The Mtn view Cabins are spread out as opposed to Hunts where we are are all centrally located, and Lori (Hunts) will help us out if we want a diner.

I asked Lori to block off the weekend of October 4 to the 8 and give me a few weeks to determine the level of participants. Mtn View cabins is a first come first serve basis.

Post up some feedback................

Never stayed at Mountain View Cabins.
Camped at Hunts a time or too.

I usually stay at Cherohola Mountain Trails CG when I go to Tellico.

My issue with Hunts is that it's right on the highway and the locals can make plenty of racket on weekend night ripping up and down the highway. A cabin smelled like something died in it once, but I was tenting, so it didn't bother me (it bothered my friends in the cabin though). they do have the big covered area to have a nice gathering place (that's nice).

Thanks for doing the leg work, Patrick.

First choice would definitely be Mountain View...but no surprise, I'm fairly anti-camping. Army ruined that for me.

I am not saying Dirt_Mom will show up if we do Mountain View. I can safely say she wouldn't even consider it at Hunt's. I know my wife, and a bathroom free cabin is a non-starter. Even if we do Mountain View the best I could guess is 50/50 on if she'd go.

I could do either. Hunts I take the toy hauler and park right next to the tents. Mountain View I ride to since everybody is inside.

I like the idea of MTN View but no tents allowed and we are spread out. Lori (Hunts) has everything close by and it pretty affordable (IMO). Limey is in AZ now, I took him there last October, maybe if he sobers up enough he will chime in and give up his opinion.........

Yea they are off the main hwy but it never was too noisy to bother me, the tent area is farthest away and day usage is closer to it. They are about 3 mins south of town. To get beer and ice, go out for breakfast and/or dinner..........The cafe in town is my favorite place to eat, the steak was 22 bucks (I think) and you can BYOB. The same fella (new yorker) is opening up a pizza and beer cafe. I might do a pizza night with him if I can get it set up..........

Thanks guys,

Paddy-O

I’m in for Hunts, nice clean showers and restrooms and perfect for the folks that want to tent it.
