They are sadly both creased(the inner tube, chrome part). I got in contact with Yamaha dealers and nothing is available until may 10th, which is backordered and push recently from april. Anyway i was wondering what would you guys do? i have a massive roadtrip coming along in may :O lol is there aftermarker inner tubes that might work? etc.

I guess it's not impossible, but I would be amazed if just your lowers are bent. With inverted forks, the uppers almost always bend with the lowers.

Since you are in L.A. Dr. John's is accessible to you. He's managed to straighten out some bits for me that I thought were long gone. Make sure to bring your upper and lower triple clamps, not to mention your front wheel too. These are often bent along with the forks.

I bent both of mine (1 bent pretty bad the other just barely) last year center punching a deer. On mine, just the lower inner tubes were bent. After pricing the parts I would need and considering the time it would take me to rebuild them myself, I ordered the entire fork leg for both sides from Chaparral out of California. The original lead time quoted was about a month as they came from Japan. As luck would have it they came pretty quickly (couple weeks).

The forks came fully setup at OEM specs and were full of oil when they arrived. I now have 2 spares for replacement parts.

If you get into to trouble and can't wait....

A deer jumped of a hill side and knocked me right off my 2012 when it was a month old. Had 1400 miles. The bike low sided at about 25 mph. Basically everything on the left side was road rashed. Oddly the changd both forks and the rear pumpkin and neither had a scratch. When i asked the dealer said standard replacement for the type of crash? WTF so i called their bluff and asked for the parts. Three S10s later i still have the parts as spares.

Shipping from pittsburgh might be hefty but maybe better than Japan?

PM me if interested. I can send pics.

I have a spare 2016 ES fork available for sale.

If your S10 is not a ES call Racetech and see how much they charge to convert to a conventional fork.
Regards.
