Yes, there’s still a difference between the two, but even T mode feels more natural, less artificially limited, if that makes any sense.

I am starting to think about a new bike and one of the reasons is fueling. I did test ride the R1250 (In the RS version not GS) and I really liked the fueling in the standard map. I read that BMW is working on a new GS so I will wait, but I think I would like to try the new map and finally get out of touring mode.

How do I accomplish this? This is for a 2015 Super T ES

This is my first S10 but I flash all of my bikes. The S10 was the bike that most needed flashing. I didn’t have it flashed for more power (although that did increase slightly) I wanted more torque and to smooth pickup from low revs (just off tickover). In my view the best way to get the most out of flashing is to do it in conjunction with a Dyno. So you need a flash provider who also runs a Dyno machine. The OEM map on my S10 was fuelling so lean at low revs it was almost off the scale. This is what caused my stumble just off tickover. I also had the tuner adjust the fan to cut in 5c earlier. But the main benefit of a flash is to correct fuelling. There is a different fueling map for each gear and they all need adjusting from OEM. This, and the fan cut in are not adjustments that can be made with a PCV as far as I know.

Oh nice! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, totally changed the bike for me. Was just up in your area about 2 months ago, stayed at the KOA in Owen Sound and then took hwy 1 up and around, ended up going to Tobermory. Got caught in a massive down pour on the way back!

I had mine done from Matthew at Speedlab in Richmond Hill, right at the North End of the 404. He did a great job, very easy to work with and wanted to make sure I got corrected what I didn't like. He owns a Tenere himself so knows the bike. If I was to get it done again I would have him do it.

A quick updated.

Based on this thread info , I called 2wheeldyno and they answered all my questions.

I also emailed Anthony and was surprised that he replied quickly with instructions on how to send the ECU and answered all my questions via email as well.



Now I need to decide on the time to do this and who to send it to. The difference between the prices is negligent.

button on right hand controll lower slide switch , says " MODE " push it and watch teh dash at Mode bottom of display

I have an appointment tomorrow with Matthew @ SpeedLab. I have a +400km ride to get there.
Did some preliminary research and am very much looking forward to getting the issues I don’t like dealt with.
I’ll post up results after a multi day trip in New England States with missus, taking place immediately after I leave Richmond Hill.

Will also have a review of Trailmax Mission tires as well.

If you have other things done,such as exhaust, you may want to get it dyno tuned. Mine was stock but still glad I had the tune done anyway. Let me know your thoughts. As for the TrailMax tires I really liked mine, assuming you go off road. As a street tire I thought they were fine, pretty good in the rain although others will disagree. That being said my comparison was the Shinko 804/805's. I did have a hum from about 85 to about 95 on the road but I thought they were good off road too. I had them on for about 20,000km before I sold the bike, not sure they would have passed inspection but would have been close.
