I was on their website and I saw a couple of pictures with a blue Super 10 in them. I was wondering if anyone on here has taken any of these classes or did PB300 or 500.
I purchased my Super 10 in February and so far I've put a little over 8k miles on her, some of it off road. I wanted to get better at the off road part. Can anyone recommend this course or a similar in the area ?
Thanks for reading,
Luke

I took the ADV camp course with them in late April last year. It was well worth it for a complete offroad riding novice like myself. The course was paced well over the course of 2 days and Jack and Mike knew their stuff. I took the course at their Nesco site and the practice sessions were on a grassy field which was the easy part of the course. It got exponentially tougher once we hit the deep sand going through the pine barrens. Before you go, install a switch to cut the ABS and install proper knobby tires.

A lot of guys bring their big ADV bikes to the course. If I did the course again, I would try to find something much lighter than the Tenere to learn on.

I live 25 minutes from the Pine Barrens, and have ridden down there for a long time. If you guys want to ride there with S10s, drop me a line. I'll show you the ropes of riding sand for free. What tires are you running?

At the Romney 2017 Camp-N-Ride, scheduled for the weekend prior to Mother's Day weekend, we are going to again have Alain of Xplor-Int provide professional training and at least one of his instructors came from PB. Even better is that Alain is giving us SUPER special pricing of $106 with the request that you make some donation (tax deductible even) to our event charity, The Potomac Center.

And fwiw - I've found that sand can have special magnetic powers for big bikes.

Mitas E09 Dakar is an awesome sand tire for the S10. With that tire up front, I can rip through deep sand on the S10. I call it my cheater tire.

I'm going to take you up on this. I live about an hour from NJ. I've ridden some of the hero loops before, but on a KLR, which was hell.

Okay. I am off for the next three weeks. If the weather is above 40F, I'll ride. In fact, I plan to ride there tomorrow. ::021::

I took the Pine-Barres adventure camp weekend this past september with some friends. I had my S10, there were a few other bikes like 5 GSes, then some mid-sizes like Triump 800s, and GS 800.

The course was absolutely awesome. I learned a lot in two days and gave me a lot of confidence on road and off. And the sand is actually fun once you get confidence with it, just make sure you have good tires. I have Heidenau's and they are barely ok for that terrain.

I nightly recommend the course. It's super fun, and a really good fast learning experience.

Huge props to Alain, I took the class in '16 in Romney. Planning on a 2 or 4 day with him at his home base in PA this summer .
