I know there are some beautiful bikes out there out. But I have never seen a bike that I think is more beautiful than my Super Ten, the only thing that I would consider more beautiful and wonderful would be my wife and kids

I have the Raven Black. Already got some kick a** stickers for it, additional ones that I had made. Had to trailer it home. Haven't had my license in a while. So I got to get another one.

Got my insurance through Geico, about $90 a month. But I got max coverage on the full spectrum of options. Figure it wouldn't be a bad ideal for this.

OK now the bad news. I/wish i still could free ride mountainbike and cross country ride like I did 15 years before I got married. And this had caught up to me. Ordered the bike in March. Old injuries started hurting. Found out (now that I have the last item in my bucket list of items a man should have in his life). Found out that I currently have floating vertebrae V4 that is detached and moving at will, 2 hernias, 3 bone on bone vertebra's, L4/L5 and L5/S1 disc are putting direct pressure on my spinal cord. They want to fuse the V4, V5 and S1. And for the icing one the cake (hopefully lemon) my left knee needs a complete replacement. Now come on, all I want to do is ride my bike.

My wife bought me this bike as a present because she new how much I wanted a TDM850. And for me to have something just for me. Come on, the most incredible bike just came out. Setting in my garage. And I have a hard time throwing my leg over it. But what a damn bike to have. My wife has given me the greatest gifts in the world with my kids. Now she gives me this bike, damn. What to do, what to do.... I think ridding it is the only logical thing to do. Stretch alot, grit the teeth and rock and roll.......

Think you all for letting me whine..... now lets ride!

Becareful and enjoy all.

Wow Krash that's a lot of damage to the old body but your attitude is excellent and will go a long way to fighting back. I know two MSF coaches that need complete fusion top to bottom with a year recovery in bed. I don't think either one of them has had it done yet but they will need it. I blew a disk in my neck C6 C7 I think it was and have a donor bone installed but I'm fine now. My best to you ride safe.

Here's a pic of my delivery on 7-30-11

Knee and back brace and then go have fun. Go have a ball and get your issues fixed one at a time. Pace yourself and enjoy what you can when you can.

Best wishes for you and your wife.

She is a keeper.

Despite the injuries it sounds as though you are blessed. Take care of yourself so that you can enjoy your family and your new bike. Best wishes.

You're an incredibly lucky guy. The most important thing is your supportive wife.

For the aches and pains, duct tape to hold everything in place, and advil/ibuprofen to take the edge off. :D

Krash, I had the same back surgery done on May 24, and am riding and working on the bike. It was not pretty and I almost gave up on the bike, but glad I stuck with it.

I had a Neurosurgeon do the work and got a good one.
What helped me a lot was being in shape. I made sure I could lift myself up with my arms, do deep squats, and push ups.
That all helped with the rehab.
I wish you all the best with your surgery and a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear of your condition Krash. Hopefully it gets better soon so you can get out and enjoy the bike. Until then, there is always hanging out in the garage and tinkering with it.

Wow, that is a lot fixing to get done to the old body. Wish you well and hope you stay/get in shape to ride when you wish.

I am healthy but still have a tough time throwing my leg over with seat in the high position and tailbag mounted. What is worse is see the dance I have to do to get off without knocking the bike off the sidestand. ???
