From my friend Tim over on FB (he started up an Arizona Adventure Riders group there):

Lets meet and do a day ride with some graded dirt roads, although, with the recent rains there is never a guarantee.

The ride will be Senator Highway through Crown King to Prescott and return via Yarnell hill. I've done this on my GSA with street tires. The paved sections will be I17 north and 89 from Prescott back to Morristown and I17.

We will meet at the Chevron Station just east of I17 on Carefree Highway at 9am (give or take 10 mins). Stands up at 9:15am.

Lunch can be in Crown King or Prescott (depending on timing) but bring trail food & water just in case.
I'm planning on riding this one, so if any other AZ members here want to join up, let me know!

I forgot to put the date...it was a Halloween ride, and I wound up not going. Once you get your bike fitted out, let me know, and we can go do it.

If yer just gonna ride dirt roads odds are you will be just fine with the Yamaha stock plastic guard.

I would suggest you looked into crash bars however. A good rule for saving money is 5 dollars a day, which most people spend on a coffee or eating out is 150 a month, simply set that coin aside instead.

Only a $150 that sounds a little low for these days be more like 200 per month it's crazy once you start adding everything up
