Anybody know of a place to find a passenger backrest? I've thought about putting a top box on, but really don't like the way it looks on the motorcyle.

I do same thing as oldrider. I got lucky and someone off twowheeledtexans gave me one. My wife says she feels like she's going to fall off without it. lol.

My partner said she felt like she was going to fall off the first time she went on the Ten. My first job when back home was to fit the Givi top box...!

The corbin backrest is mounted on a chrome 1/2" x 1/2" steel shaft. Corbins design is to slide into a small, square, mount in the back of their seats, and is locked in place with a simple bolt.
I fabricated a mount with 1/8" steel, triangular in shape, to fit the three bolt pattern that holds the luggage rack on.
I then fabricated a 3" length of steel square tubing with 9/16" ID, and welded it onto that steel plate, at a slight angle, I also welded a small gusset on the back side to give it extra support. I then painted everything charcoal grey to match the luggage rack. (sort of)
It worked great for many miles, the SO loved it. I have a Corbin on my RS1200, so I was able to quickly switch it from bike to bike.
