The oil doesn’t sit where the oil filler is. It drains below that, which is where the sight glass is. It drains through where I’ve circled.4443F200-DC16-42BC-BC24-3D6D9BB5576E.jpeg

If you mention how much oil you put in ... and if you changed the oil filter or not, and if you drained complety.... it will be easier to know if it was overfilled. Adding oil, and looking at the sight glass to see how much to fill, is not the correct way to do it.
the difference between the maximum mark of the sight glass ... and the top of the sight glass ... I don't think it will reach 100cm3 ..... that is not overfilling
I used just about the whole 3.78L of this Amsoil. There’s a little left at the bottom.
I drained it until it was dripping at a consistent pace. Also replaced the filter, but put some oil in the filter before inserting.

I had a brain fart and put close to 4 full quarts in mine at the last oil change and it too filled the sight glass, wasn't about to dick around and try to drain enough to get level between the sight marks. As has been pointed out, S10 is a dry sump system so I'm not losing sleep if it's a cup-and-a-half over, it's not like oil windage or other wet sump issues are going to be a problem. She's been fine for almost 5000 miles and at last check a few hundred miles ago there wasn't any oil puddled in the air box.

Now it is easier. In theory, assuming that you drain the oil by loosening the "TWO" sump bolts ... and that the filter is "similar" to the original in capacity, the engine should be overfill by approximately 350-380 cm3.
