Original Bridgestones thin carcass?

I have 800 miles on my new 17ES and today picked up a rather strange item imbedded in the basically new tire. Am I just unlucky? I wouldn't expect this to penetrate a tire.

My wife ran over a bone my dog had been chewing on....it went through the sidewall!! If you hit anything just right, it'll penetrate.

Visit just about any larger car tire store, and they can show you all kinds of strange things pulled from tires. Usually run over by a front tire, bouncing it up for punching the rear. Was it your front or rear?

It was the rear. I knew I hit something right away and pulled off the road. Happened 4 blocks from home, so just rode on home. Lucky there.

I see I have a nice 1" long dent sticking out of my wheel where the stupid bolt lodged and got bent How aggravating.
