2002 Kawasaki Concours, great bikes, solid bulletproof platform. I bought two of these rode them for a few years and sold them for more than I paid for them.

Never understood why Kawasaki never marketed them to law enforcement. They would have fit in better with the RT and Honda ST. Better than the "CHiPs Special".

2012 Honda NC700X, one of the few I bought new. (This one was serial # 0096) I desperately wanted to love this little bike but I could not. The Frunk was cool for your helmet, awesome mileage, nimble and fun in traffic. The seat was like sitting on a fencepost (see I stuffed some foam in it.) and she was a gutless turd if you rolled on the throttle at 50. One of my few costly divorces

A newbie buddy of mine got a NC700. He made me ride it home because he was nervous about looking like the newbie he was. It was so weak. I thought something was wrong with it.

I think they built it as kind of a commuter bike with fantastic MPG, but something has to give.

They used half a Honda Jazz car engine IIRC, so it's a very different experience - use the torque, don't go looking for power up the rev range.

My old 2001 ZRX1200. Had Muzzy X-1 cams and the head ported on this one, in addition to the full titanium exhaust, carb work, etc. Increased it 39hp over stock (same dyno). It would stay dead even with my Busa through about 90mph, provided I could keep the front end just a few inches off the ground. I miss this the most of any bike I ever sold off.

1997 Yamaha YZF1000R, the "Thunderace as it was called in Europe. This was a 1 model year only bike in the US. The R1 came in next.

1995 Triumph Daytona 1200, the flagship bike when Triumph firsts returned to the US market. So many great rides and memories with this one, it's my 2nd most missed motorcycle.

My 2005 Hayabusa. All the good parts on it, made great power but by this time my back couldn't handle the riding position for more than 40 minutes. I regrettably sold it off. What I should have done, is considered making a streetfighter out of it or modifying the upper triple clamps and fairing to accept normal "Superbike" bend bars.

2005 Yamaha FZ1. A bike held in high regard by all the magazines back in the day, but compared to my ZRX1200, it was completely gutless and I resented it in a way. Great looking, but..

I've got a red ZRX with 40k miles on it. Still looks new. I'll never sell it. Never had one problem. I ride it enough to get a few good power wheelies and get back on my Tenere IMG_0001.JPGjust enough to get a good thrill and get back on my fat s10

1997 DR350, I put more hard off road miles on that one than any. NEVER let me down even when I stuffed her a few times.. Great bike, crappy picture!

My very first bike: Yamaha YDS 3 (350CC, 2-stroke 1964). Picture from somewhere on the internet, I don't have pictures of it anymore. :-(
Mine had clip on handlebars, we called it "ox-head steer" .

The one I loved the most. Sold her after a crash, should have repaired her though. Yamaha TDM 900 2005

And this one, Pan European 2005, the only Honda I ever owned. Had to sell her because I missed the Yamaha logo (in my view the most stylish motorbike logo in the world).
