No clearance to fit under most if not all Tenere skid plates. I even bought the newest low profile valve. My long rides often require an oil change mid trip so was looking for an easy and clean drain without even removing skid plate. I have a Fumoto on my car and it's so easy. Put a short vinyl hose onto valve and drain directly into your recycling container.

SilverBullet, deftoner is talking about an oil filler, not an oil drainer. He is considering a funnel with a threaded tip. You can screw it into your oil fill and pour oil without spillage.

Looks like a great idea. Probably will need a longer neck.

That is a neat idea! It would take some designing to get the height just right so as to not hit my crash bars.
The idea is to have a Funnel then different adapters for different motorcycles. I will check on mine then we can start measure different crash bars and stuff for different adapters

Thanks for the reply

I did a parking lot oil change in Yukon and didn't have a funnel with me, found it near impossible to pour oil into the filler hole. So I cut the bottom out of a water bottle and it actually screwed into the Yamaha hole, not the correct thread but good enough to hold it in place.
And I did return the used oil for proper disposal, didn't change the filter.

I believe your funnel would work fine without the vent.

on Goldwing I’ve been using a bottle for a funnel, it screws in just like yours does and it works great without a vent, the oil fill opening on the Goldwing is much smaller than the one on the Tenere.

I thought and I test a bigger hole, but at some point will be small or the walls for the thread will break easy. And a bigger hole will be easy to send dirt inside too. For now I guess that compressed air, or even can run a little oil thru it to clean dirt in it.

OK! this first design is already operative!

Its 2 parts. so will be easier to install and smaller to take on trips! :) and then I can print different adapters for different motorcycles and you can reuse the funnel
