Hope you can make it Regulator. It's shaping up to be a fun rally. The numbers are climbing and that always good. The more the better it will be..

I would love to go. Didn't/couldn't do any ride this summer so... Maybe if I play the sympathy card right I can go. Pencil me in as going and I'll know better as the date approaches. Coming from Denver area.

I would like to but don't camp and they do not have single rooms. Anybody interested in sharing a cabin? Cannot commit until February.

I've had a few PM's asking me about the terrain we will be riding. I'm trying to make all the routes Big ADV Bike friendly. Nothing to crazy. One of the routes we are going to offer is ride to the Toroweap Grand Canyon Overlook. I guarantee it is a look of the Grand Canyon that will blow your mind. It's easily the best view you could ever have. It's a 60 mile in dirt road and 60 out so very few people ever go to it. You will have a chance to look from there and see the famous Lava Rapids that are the best rapids on the Grand Canyon. Ive never been there yet that I haven't seen rafts going through either. But bring your binoculars because you are so high the people and boats look like tiny ants. It's absolutely amazing, no guard rails or anything just shear 1000's of feet drop straight down. It's scary to even crawl out on your belly to look straight down. At least for me.... The road out is maintained and decent 50mph road but if there has been no raid there are sections of 1/4 mile deep silt that can be a challenge because you don't know what lies beneath. It's best to stop before you ride through these sections or you could have a high speed get off that could ruin your day. And be on the lookout as they can sneak up on your fast. The last few miles are a little rocky and can be challenging but very doable. If you go you will be floored by the view. It's a must see in my book if you are coming all this way out here. Here is a video of me riding out from the lookout on my KLR years ago. You can see it's rocky but not to bad.

If this is the route, I like it. 10 plus hours of travel. At least one meal and a fuel stop. The Google photos were beautiful.
