OEM pannier Repair.

Well I had a garage tip over and my right pannier busted at the top mounting hook. Had some scrap aluminum plate so I hammered out a repair. Not pretty but very sturdy.

Ok. Im fabricating something like you did. I understand why the cut for the rubber piece on top, but don't have the bike with me to see why i need the lower cut out?
