Hi first post (be gentle with me),
anyone else impressed with the OEM tyres? have done 3500kms on them and have to say they have done everything asked of them. including very heavy rain, snow, twisties and dirt.
having used a series of different tyres on the previous tiger, is there anything out there doing a better job? O:)

I personally am not a fan of the Battle wings. They aren't a very good off road tire. Great street tire though.

I've put the exact OEM spec Bridgestones on a Vstrom in the past and was well pleased with them. My Super Tenere came with the Metzler Tourance tires and they remind me more of the old Michelin Anakee2...more of a 75/25 tire vs. an 85/15.

Used OEM Bridgestone up to 18000 km and they still had sufficient thread for another 2-3k kms. But I replaced them because I was going on a longish trip. The Bridgestones served me well, but I rarely ride off road. I now have Metzler.

I thought they worked good for me, mostly asphalt. Got 9000 mi out of rear without it squaring off which was pretty good considering most of those were in florida. I replaced them with a new set bw 501, 502 with the E stamped on sidewall which is original spec battlewing yamaha put on the tenere.
