Getting old is not for wimps
The bikes done nearly 29k miles, so I was wondering how long does it take before it needs replaceing? This is not a for looks, sound or weight reason, just has anyone done 50k plus miles with the OE can?
And the muffler fluid topped up so it doesn't over heat...Just don't forget to keep those muffler bearings synchronized!
I’d replace it just based on it’s weight alone, it’s CRAZY HEAVY!!Thanks for the responces and especially the advice from Scott and dmulk, it looks like I have a busy weekend in the garage
There is someone selling an Akro on a Facebook S10 group I'm in, for £450, but I think I have spent enough on her over the last few months (or have I?)I’d replace it just based on it’s weight alone, it’s CRAZY HEAVY!!
I know this thread was specifically about the maintenance but after running stock for a couple years I replaced mine with a Delkevic 14in Stubby and so far I'm very happy with the mellow sound and the weight. The price was hard to beat also. I think Delkevic is based out of the UK too. You might want to consider it if you ever get to feeling like changing it. Cheers!I’d replace it just based on it’s weight alone, it’s CRAZY HEAVY!!
Since the bike doesn't break down, you have the extra money for more bells/whistles/mufflers/seats/luggage..etcThere is someone selling an Akro on a Facebook S10 group I'm in, for £450, but I think I have spent enough on her over the last few months (or have I?)
