I tell you what. If somebody had a machine shop. And it would even have to be a holy shit one, 'cuz there's not a lot to them. They could make a killing making mounting kits.

True. But I don’t get it. The world must be littered with the OE sets because literally every supere Ténéré sold was outfitted with them. And loads have taken them off.

USA models were not supplied with any panniers, Canadian models were. I was at my dealer today and they have a new T12 in the showroom, it has different style all-aluminum panniers with large hoop mounting system. So it would appear the original panniers are discontinued.

If they looked these, they're the ones that came on the Raid Edition. Since they're GIVIs, that would make sense that they are still available.

The Yamaha dealership gave me a quote for these two original mounting sets. Unaware at that time that they were not available anymore. Until they ordered it at mother Yamaha.

Thank you for your offer! Yes I am interested, but am waiting for a complete set to pop up. I’ve got time, and in the end that is cheaper then fabricating the missing parts.

I have part of a set that I can part with if you are still interested.
Main piece missing from this set is the LH footpeg/muffler hanger steel inner support.
Lots of folks taking off the factory luggage setup could easily miss this piece since its hidden behind the large wide alloy footpeg/muffler hanger. One of the bikes I bought didnt have the factory cases...or mounts.. but that steel reinforcement was still on there.

That’s how I ended up with an incomplete fitting kit. A mate was selling his Super Tenere and I was buying the panniers and fitting kit from him. He took it off just before selling the bike, but missed the footrest braces. I had to buy a whole fitting kit from Yamaha.
