This thread will be updated with my mileage milestones, services and modification records just to be a place for people to reference any issues or what to expect when owning a Super Ténéré ES.

Milestones will be updated every 1,000 miles for the first 10,000 miles, every 5,000 miles afterwards until I reach 100,000 miles then every 10,000 afterwards. Services, modifications and any issues will be updated as they happen.

So, I'm down on my way to Delaware just for an after work ride when I notice the oil light come on. I pull over to find the whole underside of the engine covered in oil. No sign of where it could be leaking from. I'll update with more info when I get home.

Appears there is a crack in the front of the engine below the oil filter.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
Sorry to hear this, can you recall if your front tire ran over something and chucked it up hard against the lower engine block?
The front fender is woefully short on the bottom.
Any chance that your oil filter somehow “vibrated” loose and started to spew oil?

It does, I'll see what it's quoted for first then go through insurance as if it's under $500 I'll just pay out of pocket.
If there is a crack hopefully it is located in the engine's lower cover ($190) and not the upper engine block.
