Hello Kiwi's,
I have made a big leap (for me) to teach abroad and will be in NZ either starting the 4th quarter of this year (mid Sept) or the beginning of next school year (Feb). As of right now I have no idea where I will be teaching because I dont yet have a contract, but I have made it through the interviews with the placement agency. The only things that could stop this from happening are down to teaching licensing (shouldn't be an issue) or visa issues (have to be realistic about what I might encounter). If I make it I will be staying for at least a year and will be purchasing a moto for transportation while I am there. I have a million questions, but figured I would start with whatever advice, tips, pointers, or whatever you have for me. Thanks in advance and I look forward to great adventures.

Also, if anyone is coming to the states, let me know! I will help out in anyway that I can (maybe even loaner motorcycle).

No answer from the Kiwis yet. We just had Anzac Day on 25 apr and a big deal in both NZ and Oz. Probably still all hungover. Don't forget your wet weather gear. Beautiful country and especially the South Island. Not sure you'll need 6th gear though, pretty small! Haha

I figured that they either were big on their weekends or that they might be a bit more active on ADVrider. Still, really pumped to get there. Right now it is a matter of paperwork and finding a position with a school.

Sounds like an awesome move. I'm heading there for six weeks next February (2016) this will be my retirement present to myself. Renting a 660 Ténéré for three weeks of back roads and camping, and then the wife will arrive and we hire a camper van for three weeks. Good luck hope it all work out. ::003::
