Hello all I am looking for a new set of shoes for my S10, I have currently a Karoo 3 in front and Karoo street rear. I hear a big hype about the Dunlop trailmax is it that good as they say, also to me its all about the bike tracking straight in off road conditions

Hello Paolo, please introduce yourself in the new-member section and update you’re profile.
As for the much needed rubber, it’s all about what you want to do with your S10. Do you have an asphalt princess or do you intend on crawling rocks? Or anything in between.
We are willing to advice but it’s all about your use.

Stefan.

While I don't have any first hand experience, a popular choice here on a Texas Forum shows a lot of love for the Trailmax Mission on the rear paired with a Anakee Wild on the front. Good luck and lets us know how whatever you do works out.

It seems that the Trailmax tires are gaining traction as being the "new" great tires for the heavyweight adv bikes, taking over from the popular Mitas E-07's.

Hello and welcome to the group. We have an entire part of the forum dedicated to tires here which is a great source of information, especially when used with the SEARCH box: https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?forums/tire-wheel-disc.74/

Nice bike, just like mine. Which is also a S.A. spec reverse import that I bought in Japan. I liked the Shinko 804/805 for mixed dirt and tarmac use.

Hi
Overhere (Italy) the very common tires for our bikes are either Pirelli scorpion trail 2 or the new Metzler roadtec 01.
Some friends I have with adv bikes use them and highly recommend if you were to use them only on roads...
