Hi - I just ordered a 16 Tenere today. Hopefully will take possession of it in a few weeks, once it arrives in Canada. I am currently riding a 14 Suzuki V Strom 1000. My husband has a 15 Tenere that I have been able to zoom around on/try out. I am new to Adventure Touring, having spent the last 10 years on a Harley Street Glide. Although my new bike will be about 250 lbs lighter than what I'm used to, I have some concerns about off pavement riding. I have done some back road riding, but nothing wild yet. I am hoping to take an off-road riding type course in the spring. Wondering if there any other females out there who ride a Tenere and am interested in their experiences.

Depending on your size, pick up a 125 or 250 dirt bike to screw around off road. Not only lighter, it is easier on your pocket book of you drop it. Good choice in taking a riding clinic.

Welcome aboard and yes, we do have some lady members you might find by using the search function.

+1 to the idea that learning to ride offered is a lot easier on a smaller bike. A number of us have a 250-650 for that. And then we also have a few folks who are really good offered with the Tenere.
