Hey all,

I have a '98 Virago 1100 and an '05 FJR1300, looking for the trifecta with a new Super Tenéré (or perhaps a 2016 or 2017).

Will keep an eye out on the marketplace.

cheers!

Welcome from Idaho. There have been some really great bikes posted here in the last couple of months.

Welcome from Kansas. I think the tenere does a lot of things better than most bikes. Maybe not the greatest at anything. That's why it doesn't do so well in reviews. IMO they are splitting hairs to come up with a winner in their reviews.
There is nothing wrong with the Yamaha. I don't think that you can top the reliability
Good luck with your search.

Welcome from Texas. In my opinion, once you get YOUR Tenere, and fit it to YOUR taste....your trifecta may become into a solo act. Not because there's anything wrong with your first two....but, the Tenere has a way of becoming the favorite child.

I have a feeling that will be the case. And thanks for the welcome...from all!

Well, it’s official. Spent about 15 mins at the Toronto Motorcycle Show yesterday before I signed a purchase order. I am the proud daddy of a newborn Tenere in mat black. Delivery in April. Mother is a corporate b!%$# and somewhat richer. You can’t imagine the smile on my face.
