Just reading a thread from Revzilla saying a new Triumph Scrambler 1200 will have never before seen levels of duel purpose capability's ?? This will to be interesting ! I still want to see the 700 S10 and Harley is building a duel purpose bike also. Looks like there's going to be more in the game of duel sport. Went by my M.C .dealer today and the new blue S10 sure looks nice, But as I'am riding off on my 15 red ES i'am thinking I'll keep her as i just got her as i want .

I was between bikes and was shopping Triumph. I never had a cruiser and the Storm caught my eye. I went to the dealer and got to test ride one, awesome motor and a blast to ride but I don't think it could be my main bike, lack of ground clearance and wind protection.

What was real disappointing was returning to the dealer and seeing my right boot covered in oil. Appeared a gasket leaked, this was a new bike too. The salesman didn't look to be surprised and to sweeten the deal he offered to knock off $100.00.

Well if RevShilla says so, it must be true... Here's what I expect: a slightly beefed up version of the current Triumph Scrambler (aka high piped and overpriced T120 Bonneville) to match the Desert Sled version of Ducati's scrambler. Dual front discs, maybe a couple inch longer swingarm, a bit more suspension travel, a joke of a skid plate, and a "premium" suspension option (WP or Ohlins) with 1.5" travel over stock. Same bike. Lots of lipstick.

The Storm is a great bike. I owned 2010 Thunderbird for two years and put 35,000 miles on her and never a drop of oil on the ground. The most comfortable bike I have owned.
