Hi, So for my first question.
I'm currently trying to talk money with the dealership on a new 2015 ES They don't seem to want to go much under RRP. Could you please let me know what sort of a deal you got so I know how hard to push. a PM would be fine if you prefer. also if so what sort of skid plate did you fit ? Thanks Chris... PS I also asked the same question on ADV rider - no straight answer as yet..

Before we get all the US and European prices, please realize that Christo is in Melbourne Australia

When dealing on any kind of vehicle, all they are going to do is say no. push to get all that you can. If they won't go down on price, see if they will throw in some farkles.

Hi Christo. I agree with what the others said regarding the price. As far as the skid plate is concerned, I have a Givi plate on my Super Ten. I don't know if it is the most robust plate compared to some of the others available, but for my purposes, it is great. (Gravel roads, dirt roads, fire roads, but no single track riding.)

Cheers,

Bruce

I bought a 2014 and couldn't get a price match until I walked away, even with an add offering a deal. Then told a weird story about why this one was cheaper.

Wish I had gone to the original guy who had the deal, just didn't suit me due to a change in circumstances., when I was getting ready to pick up the bike I called about new tyres and the spares guy didn't know what a super tenere was.

Didn't get tyres there! Now on k60 scouts.

If you want an ES I suspect there is not that much room to manouvre however i have noticed that dealers still have 2013 models which will probably bear some serious negotiation.

Thanks for the replies people , I have been tempted by new old stock but I've never purchased a brand new bike. So im thinking I am not willing to take second best its the ES I want !.
I think I will just go sit down at the dealer and annoy him some more hehe..

Have a look at Bike Point etc for pricing and then ring around a few major dealerships and start playing them off against one another for the best price. The biggest problem I had when looking for my S10 was trying to locate a dealer where I could test ride one. Good luck anyway.

I paid a couple of thousand less than RRP for a new 2014 ES 3 weeks ago. I was pretty happy with that price. Dealer had dropped the price to move it. He had it advertised as an exdemo, but it had 0km. Now has 6000km on the clock and loved every one of them so far. It's only been on two rides out of Melbourne so far. One to the most eastern point in Victoria, and out to the SA/WA border and back. Loving the cruise control on those distance rides.

So I bought a used 2014 ES (in white) with only 3 months riding on it for 19k (with akro pipe and bash plate and topbox and 12months NSW rego). I was very happy with that.

When I was looking around the best deal on a new 2015ES is 20K ride away and only for floor stock and only if you push very Hard.
