my S10 XT1200Z (2012) is missing Seat Bracket Assy

I bought a used S10 XT1200Z (2012) and it is missing Seat Bracket Assy (part 23P-24708-00). Is there any harm? Will it help lower the seat if I get one?

its the bracket that sits on the sub frame in 2 different positions that allows the riders seat to be mounted in a LOW or HIGH position,
don,t know what its like without it seams strange its not there, but cheap enough just order
one
