I've been looking for a replacement for my GMax 54 Modular after 5 years of some "wear and tear". I knew I wanted a modular due to the fact that I enjoy flipping everything up on those hot and humid days of South Texas. I run a MadStad bracket, and winglets on my '13, so buffeting has never been an issue.

Did some research and found the ScorpionExo EXO-At950 with the "BattleFlage" graphics. Reviews are really good for the price $290, U.S.

Anyone else using this helmet...and if so, how do you like it?

Re: My New Lid

I had a Scorpion Exo 900 (IIRC) modular back about 2010 which I really liked. It had the inflatable thingie which made for a nice fit, and it was a very quiet helmet. The price was right, too. I was a bit disappointed with the quality, though. I thought it should have lasted longer, but plastic bits started cracking, and eventually the latching mechanism failed.
I would hope that they would have addressed the quality issues by now. If I was in the market for a new helmet, I would definitely consider Scorpion.

Re: My New Lid

I use this helmet as my winter lid with the optional dual pane visor they have. Great helmet for the price. The only small issue i have is, if the chin guard is installed (as it is for the winter) it gets in the way of the Sena boom mic when closing the flip up part of the helmet and then I have to stick my fingers in through the visor opening to adjust the mic. Not the most comfortable thing to do in thick winter gloves, not that big a deal just a bit of a pain in the.... I prefer to run without the sun visor as it does catch some wind above 60mph or so.

On a side note, make sure the bolts holding the visor are screwed in tight. I lost one on the highway... On the plus side, the visor is still held secure without the bolts as long as its in the down position and Scorpion sent out 2 spares no questions asked when I called them so the customer service is top notch.

I have had mine for 6 months, I like it a lot... mine is black... the drop down shade visor has a nice shade of tint, the hat is fairly quiet , and there is no pin lock to go bad at a bad time... not a fan of pinlock.... you made a good choice.

Thanks to OP, I started looking at Scorpions. There was a promotional price for the Scorpion ADX-1, so I just back ordered one for the White with Red Blue designs. (no stock at the shop) The ADX-1 looks similar to the AT950. I tested it, seems to have a 1/2 size mismatch to the usual helmet sizes. But since my head is a lower Medium, M fits me well. I like the light weight 1600grams. Can't wait to get it.

Couldn't find much info on the ADX-1. Must be a new release.
