I left my UNLOCKED iphone in a shopping cart at walmart the other night. I drove about 3 miles and noticed it and hauled ass back. Somebody had turned it in. There's a glimmer of hope.

Must be a MS thing......

At 48 I cannot tell you when/if I have ever lost a wallet. About 2 months ago, I left mine on the counter at the CO-OP in Henrnando. Went and got a haricut after that, about 6 PM. I cut the grass after I got home and looked in the dark for about 2 hours.....

Called the CO-OP the next morning, they had it.

John, I want to be like you when I grow up!

Women and their handbags.
I spent a lota time in Cullman Al. a few years back. I was forever retrieving hand bags etc. in a restaurant I used to frequent. The ladies would hang their bags on the rear of the chair, then forget and leave it there.
Always turned the bags over to the owners.

If I have to set my wallet down while fueling I lay it across the left grip and clutch lever. If you forget you'll immediately notice it there when pulling away from the pump. Better is just stuffing it back into my cargo pants pocket, pretty easy to reach through the access openings on my one-piece 'stich. I like being able to just reach down and feel that it's there later whilst underway too. Stashing it in a tank bag or pannier always has be wondering a few miles down the road since these activities become somewhat automatic.

You complete me
I'm your huckleberry.

Clearly you were not assigned The Outsiders as required reading when you were a kid.

Apparently it was also a movie. I made the mistake of mentioning this exchange to DM. She's threatening to make me watch the movie...I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut.

She wouldn’t do that, would she? I thought she liked you?

I have also learned that if I have to hand the clerk my credit card, then I keep my wallet in my hand until I get it back. If I put my wallet back in my pocket, I will be out the door without the card.
