Got the final drive seals replaced, cleaned and back together.

AND... I slapped on a couple more stickers from our trips and achievements!
I really like this box....I just put two of these on my Tenere....mine are a little different, black in colour. I'm waiting to acquire two more and hopefully attach them to be used as panniers.

Seen a hammerhead in South Carolina today.
That "fish" could have made a nice little hole in an engine . Here in the Netherlands there are a lot that ride without a skidplate because we don't have the kind of roads i see on your picture. I go to Germany and Austria to ride them, and Belgium for the pothole's ;). Would love to tour the States on my bike once!

Took the long way home from work 1.5hrs instead of 30 minutes, decided to take some pictures. Still no noticeable leak on the final drive.

I've noticed that more "stuff" hits my feet on the Tenere, than any other bike that I've ridden. I don't know it there's more "stuff" on the road, or the skidplate diverts it toward my feet. And, touring over here, must be a "grass is greener" thing, 'cuz I'd love to tour over there. :)

It does act a bit as a deflector I have noticed. I suppose that’s a way to prevent damage too. You are probably right about the grass @Sierra1 .. you just killed my dream . Just kidding, it has been a long time wish to visit the USA since it’s so different then what we have in Europe. Landscape, people, culture, enormous parts of open country and so on.

you’re always welcome to visit!

Hey, you never told us what this monstrosity is. Inquiring minds want to know. :) (at least mine does)
It’s only a tiny bit related to either of those. Fire fighting or farming. It’s an adjustable rolling carriage for a 600k LBF capacity hydraulic tensile test machine.

The large horizontal pins are about 6in diameter. The whole carriage weighs about 1k pounds

So far I've got just a few miles on it. I've modified the windshield bar to hold my phone case, made some braces to stabilize the windshield and accessory bar, installed altrider crash bars, repurposed an old fishing tackle bag for a tail bag, swapped out the stock levers for short ones, and did the flat seat mod for the low position.

On August 24th my wife surprised me at work with the keys to a new S10. We had decided to get a different bike after our last trip on the Vstar 950 we had been riding for a few years.

Why did we pick the super T?
I am a Yamaha loyalist (but I looked hard at the 2014 DL1000)
Electronic cruise
Horsepower
Shaft drive
Looks bad ass
Wanted to be able to ride gravel and dirt with confidence.

Other than commuting the bike will be ridden mostly two up.

Plans are to slowly outfit it with all the good farkles. crash bars, skid, all the luggage, lighting, and other stuff to add comfort and fit it to us personally.

Wowsers, that’s a great looking bike! You have a very special wife/riding partner.

Well that’s a bummer, are you all right? It looks like you’re added protection did it’s work, and that the designed impact points are damaged. I hope you are doing well!

Stefan.
