I've had to move on from the ST since it was written off in a collision with a bicycle. I bought it as an almost new ex-demo and had it for 16 months and 9000 miles in which time it only cost me fuel, one oil change, and £500 depreciation. Had some great fun on it too; even central London commuting was a breeze.
I've listed some accessories in the for sale section if anyone is interested.

Cheers

Totaled going against a bicycle? Did the Tenere go down hard or something?

IIRC, the UK insurance companies like to write bikes off with any kind of plastics, cost of repairs if above 30% (generally) of value will ensure the bike is gone.

Cyclist landed hard on top of the cockpit. He was crossing a dual carriageway in the dark without looking.

The insurance estimated at least £6k of parts. Mechanically it seemed ok.

I looked in on the salvage auction after they took it away. Thought I might buy it back for 2k-ish. It went for 5.7k to someone in Cyprus. Go figure?
