Looking for a motorcycle GPS for my S10.
Would love to score a Garmin Zumo at a reasonable price If anyone has one or any other motorcycle GPS you have . I don’t have a lot to spend ,If I were loaded I would not be looking for a used one. Let me know what you have for a GPS
thank you

Thanks Fennelig, I don’t want to spend that much, I have never had one and have been using my phones GPS, but I have soaked my phone a few times, and wanted to try a used one first before I invest in a good one

Scroll around the country on Face Book market place. Typically don’t pay the asking, negotiate and you can walk away with virtually any model you want for little money. If your not in a hurry you can sometimes put together a package with other stuff they might also be selling. You then can turn around and sell all those items you don’t want and make a few bucks on each item. In the end you now have gotten a GPS for free.

If you're willing to forego the latest technology, you can still get a new Zumo 396 on Amazon on Amazon for $270.00. That's a motorcycle specific GPS. There's a used one on eBay right now for $190.00.

All good info, thanks, One caveat I’m probably one of the few people in the world that never got on Facebook. Just really never saw the need. I’ll ask one of my kids to see if they can locate one. Facebook marketplace

I have found mine last about 10 years. That’s about $3.33 a month. For what it’s worth another perspective.
Haha that’s funny to amateurish it over 10 years but I do live in Colorado the riding seasons cut in half it would double that ha ha still a cheap investment:)

To be quite blunt if you cant see the screen on a gps then it cant do its job. The XT screen is in a different league to anything else. And thats without all the other stuff it does.
Agreed. The XT is the only screen I can read in full sunlight

I just use my android in a waterproof case and the way it sits on my madstad it never gets wet. I just can't justify the 400 bucks when my phone works perfectly. Even as a truck driver I got rid of my GPS and use my phone they seem to be more accurate

Personally, that Zumo XT for $400 is a steal. I would jump on it. Garmin’s keep their value pretty well so your actual cost of ownership is going to be pretty low if you decide it’s not for you.

Alternatively, see if you can find a Zumo 590. It’s an older model so might be able to find a deal, and can be upgraded to the 595 software if you are computer handy. Don’t think you’re missing on any features between the 595 and the XT except for the better screen on the XT, you actually gain the option of using Garmin’s TPMS system (not available for XT) which I am a big fan of.
