When I got my Seat Concepts I got the slippery material on my seat and the grippy stuff on my wife’s (passenger). No more sliding into me every-time I slow down.

Well I have put a couple of hundred miles on my new seat concept seat and so far am very happy with it, I was surprised how high it was at the front, has a noticable impact on seat height but means I no longer slide up to the tank all the time and after 2 hours riding don't need to start fidgetting!! Seems a good imprevement for a reasonable price..

i have tried Corbin, Saddleman, Sargent etc. I have settled for the stock seat around town and the Saddleman for my IBA rides. Footnote, I always end up with my Alaskan Sheep Pad on my Saddleman by the end of the ride.

I refuse to try a RDL due to them being Fugly

I had an RDL on a previous bike and it was a game-changer. I could sit on that seat all day, every day, with no problems.
I promptly ordered one for my ST when new and I found myself sliding forward. I sent it back for alterations and I still couldn't get comfortable on it.

I sold it and bought a Sargent, which causes me to squirm around after a few hours. I notice the welting at the seam was rubbing on me and seems to be the source of most of the discomfort.

My next move would be Corbin, but I might be leaving the fold entirely this Spring.

I've put more miles on the stock seat than any other., and if I had to choose a "most comfortable for long hours," the stocker would probably be my pick. Perfect - no. Best so far - maybe/ probably.

Unfortunately with seats, the only thing for it is to buy one and ride a bunch of miles on it. You won't know if it'll work for YOU by talking to others, or sitting on it for 5 minutes in a showroom or at a rally. It's one of the biggest bummers of motorcycledom, IMO.

It’s amazing how may things on this bike are a pain to get right.
My experience

1. Risers: I used Rox on my first S10, never really was satisfied with the results. This time I used Helibar risers, which include a brake line extension, and really liked the results. Put the bars in the perfect position for me.

2. Light bar: The OEM option Piaa 530 LPs bolt on under the headlight without drama and help with low beam lighting and can be run all the time without bothering oncoming traffic. I bolted on a pair of cheap but bright driving lights to the crash guards for use with the high beams using PIAA brackets. Not necessary for the lights, but I did order an Eastern Beaver PC-8 made for the S10 and it was plug and play.

3. Terry Adcox seat. Bought used, works great.

4. Self-canceling turn signals. Checked out the aftermarket kits briefly but the install seems like a PITA. Use my thumb, hasn't failed me yet and it's pretty automatic.

I have a Russell day long seat production date of May 19. It is a PIA when you have to mail in your seat and wait for it to come back finished. I wish Russell would provide seat pans…

My ergo experience:

HeliBars. Bolt on perfect riding position.

ASV levers. Shorty brake and standard clutch.

OEM seat with level bumpers. Good for day rides. AirHawk for touring.

Rear brake enlarger.

Grip Puppies. WOW!! These are amazingly comfortable!!

Footpegs. STOCK OEM!!! Aftermarket pegs are not good for this bike. Frame damage incurred both times dropping it.

I don't know if it helps, But I mailed in the seat pan for my Tenere to Seat concepts, they received the pan, fitted the foam and cover and sent it back to me in 24 hours, the post took a couple of days each way, but Seat Concept was incredibly quick to turn it around, the whole procedure took less than 5 days (from removing the seat on my bike and putting the new one back on the bike).

I had the Russell on my V Strom and it is money WELL spent. So, we have history.

I want to replace my stock seat with a much more comfortable one. Corbin, saddleman??? Whats everyones opinion? Thanks. 2018 Super Tenere
Had a seat done by Terry’s Custom Seats last Sept, 40k miles later, 2 trips across the country, very happy with it. Did a ride in appointment to help ensure it fit well. I added a Utopia backrest for my old back.
