Out of curiosity, do any of you use a moisture wicking head covering? I haven't used anything other than a balaclava, and then only in cold weather. I'm looking for input on something I could wear as a moisture wicking layer for our triple digit summers.

Background: I'm bald, so my head has direct contact with the helmet pads and liner. This leads to them get soaked after a day in the saddle and needing to be removed and washed regularly, which is a pain. This is why I'm wondering if anyone is using something to help keep the pads and liner clean and semi-dry on super hot days.

Ive had friends that have used these for YEARS and just rave about them... In the last 12 mo I have started using one (cheapie one) under my helmet and has worked great. I will probably continue to use it.. Strange thing is this, cools my head in the summer, keeps my head wormer in the winter... I had a coupon at your same barber shop and they didn't miss one hair.

They have many all over the internet, if your interested get your self a cheep one to try and if you love it, move on to a better quality. Im already looking for a "good" one.

I use one made by “Heat Out”. I think it’s a cycle gear brand. Works well and keeps the helmet pads cleaner.

I'm taller than my hair too. For years I've used skull caps from UnderArmor, Nike and LDComfort to keep helmet funk at bay. Always pack a couple on long trips and wash every couple days.

EDZ do some good ones that wick moisture. They are UK based.
