Due to recent feedback, we have decided to “step-up” moderation here on the forum. Our goal is to keep this a friendly, inviting community, so we will be paying closer attention to posts, and will remove those which, in our interpretation, violate the rules. If the moderation team determines to remove posts, those decisions are final, and any further attempt to continue negative trends, or any questioning or discussion of the moderator’s actions will also be subject to removal. Those members who choose to “act out” and not abide by the rules, will face sanctions, up to and including permanent removal from the forum.

We know most of the members here act like the adults we expect everyone to be, and contribute to the knowledge and enjoyment of our bikes. Our goal is not to stifle debate or discussion, but rather to ensure that everyone who posts can do so without the threat of personal attacks, and to keep the personality of this community positive.

Keep on keeping on. Thanks for your hard work. Great forum, lets keep it that way!
::026:: This is an excellent forum, and I agree that it is critical to maintain civil discourse. Many thanks to AVGeek and the other mods for keeping the ship stable and upright!

Eloquently stated, Bryan. And unfortunately, probably overdue.

As a "civilian" Forum member, I'd just like to throw out there one last time ……

All members can assist with this by POLITELY reminding those very few members who are maybe just starting to cross the line with their comments, that said comments are not welcomed.

Alternatively, try ignoring the comment(s). If Bubba sees his last post not responded to for a week or so, he's gonna take the hint.

REMember, a lot of members have asked for this. We have received several PM's to that effect. So the moderators are responding. ::024:: Please work with them.

Let's be careful … and polite …. out there. R ::008::

By the way, it's freezing here this morning. Does anyone care ?? HUH? ANYONE ???

Well, I asked Venture to double my salary, which he agreed to do. But loss of the use of the company jet was the deal breaker.
I am currently bucking for Moderator Emeritus status, but I don't see that happening. ::025:: ::025::

No, I'm getting older and crankier. Nobody wants that. But my little ponderosa here south of Whitehorse will always be open to any Tenere travellers passing this way. There will always be a hot shower, garage with lift and tools, water, campsite, and maybe even some hot biscuits available.

Bryan,

Thanks for stepping up. This is a great community that has proven again and again their willingness to share knowledge and help in any way they can.

Whenever you bring a group of strong willed individuals together, there will inevitably be some friction. I applaud your efforts to keep the discourse civil.

Regards, Scott
