does the 32gb one above mean, that you plug that in the phone charger, and it has storage on it so you can down load your pictures to this then pull it out and plug it to your pc and take the pictures off this,
rob
Yes Rob, its a great little device. i selected the 32bg one as a sample but you could get the 128gb one if you like as long as its micro usb on the phone side. They are called on the go or OTG devices. iIf you have less than 32gb to transfer at a time it will be fine. Or the 128gb one will match the card size in your phone. be aware though to not transfer stuff if the phone is on low charge i always do mine when its fully charged.

thanks for your help so far,

do you think this 32gb one would hold 200- 300 photos, i ask as i love my phone its new but as off yet can,t get pictures loaded on to pc, when i,m away on the bike i never carry a camera as well always take photos on my phone come home load them on the pc,
but this samsung A7 2018 is a night mare at the mo, so i have ordered the 128gb sd card to put in phone to load pictures to that in stead of phone, hopefully that part will be ok,
now if i order this 32gb stick, i,ll only ever have a 200 if that pictures so i guess this,ll be fine, so if i order this as well i can plug this into phne take the pictures off the phone to this 32gb then plug this in pc and load the pictures off this to pc job done

I would say it would hold at least 2,500 Rob. Its always best to not stack up too many on the phone in case you lose it. When i travel i tend to back up my phone photos to one of those devices and leave it at my base or somewhere safe on the bike. Your welcome for the help thats why this is a great forum we all chip in.
Regards,
Mark.

Put device into phone charge port.
Open file manager on phone
Open folder on phone where photos are
Top right hand corner of phone screen there are 3 dots in vertical line
Press that
Select move or copy ( move will remove from phone and put on device, copy will leave on phone )
Circles will appear next to photos
Select photos you want to move or copy
When done select copy or move depending on wether you chose move or copy
You will then get a choice of where you want them to go the device you put in charge port on phone will appear as an option
It would say Internal storage which is the phone itself
SD card if you have one in phone
Or the device will come up or it will say external storage
Select it and it should say ok to proceed.

Your welcome dude happy to help. I would advise though that you get a portable hard drive so you can back up your photos from your computer to it, make sure you select copy not move.
Always have more than one copy and dont include the ones on your phone as a copy. Also when you get them onto the computer put them in a folder you recognize so you know where to find them. I would make a folder on the computer first before you start the copy. Or there may be a folder on the computer already set up for photos which says pictures. Open that and create a folder for the new photos and name it. Once you have transferred all the photos to the folder on your computer If the photos are from one trip for example, open the folder select all the photos and rename them pertaining to the trip as it makes them easier to handle with unique names. if they are all different you can put them all in the Pictures folder then open that folder and create how ever many folders you need inside it. name the folders relating to what the photos are and when looking at them you can drag and drop the photos into the relevant folders as you go.
Here is a usb hard drive which you can back up to i thinnk they are out of stock but great value. Something like it will do.
