count me in , I may suck at everything off road , but I am leaving on the 2nd of October to moab, look forward to meeting you Mak10.... I am hoping carrot joins me but he is not sure yet. so from 50/50 to 100/0...…

I’ll plan on reserving a camp spot in Archview then.

Lots of excellent riding for all skill sets. And did I say October is a damn fine month for riding in Moab.

I'm in....sorta.... I don't dare miss my Wife's B-day two years in a row, so I'll bring her with me. We'll hotel, and come over to the camp site and share some BS and whatever else with the group on the 3rd. Then go do some road riding....not certain of our route yet.
Mak is right, October is a great Month to ride around Moab!
See y'all there.

Got a campsite reserved at Arch-view campground. It should be big enough for 4 small tents and 4 motorcycles.

Ride options could be: White Rim trail, this will take all day.

Onion creek

La Sal mountain loop. Just some thoughts.

I have shinko 705's on the bike now, the back tire is almost done , front might survive another rear ,maybe. so chose the tkc 80 for the trip , should handle everything I can do. what im looking for now is a good sleeping pad , gave mine to my daughter as I found it lacking . she is young and lighter should work better for me. Walmart has a queen size air mattress for less than 20 dollars , use and lose at that price , but comfortable. any ideas appreciated .

Submitted time off request today. Hope it is approved. Would love to attend this.

I was in Moab in July of 2013 on my old DR650. I did go through Arches National Park, but it was so flippin hot that I headed west. Will i was in Moab I didn't do anything you couldn't do on a street bike.

I am still not sure if I can go. Project at work must be completed before I can go and is scheduled to end right before this starts. If we hit any snags and get delayed, I might not be able to go.

Looking at replacing the stock battlewings just in case.

carrot put my tires on , he lives down a nice gravel road . the shinkos 705 tires are great on pavement , disconcerting on gravel. the tkc 80s felt so much more planted down the gravel , and felt good on highway , a little hum from the front . should do the job.
