Hey guys, so I have 4 Mitas E07+ dakar front tires all in different stages of wear and tear and my rear Mitas are toast. I wear about 1 1/2 rear Mitas to one front Mitas.
Now I also have a set of Dunlop Trailmax mission, I don't care for the front Dunlop and would like to know if anyone ran a rear Dunlop with a front Mitas E07+dakar.
I just ordered a new rear Mitas E07 but certainly would like to use up those fronts with my Dunlop rear.
Thanks in advance.

hello. I have mixed tires my whole life of all brands. I really have never had an issue with any of them. Of course some of them I didn't like together but I never felt like there was any kind of safety issue. All I can say is try it. If you don't like it put a different front on to match the rear. I always thought it felt sooooooo good having two new tires on my bikes but hey I am cheap and will run a half worn tire with a new one.

I prefer matched sets but have run many mixed sets without any trouble.

I wore out a set of Mitas Dakar’s that so many members seem to love, they were ok but I probably won’t be buying another set, I prefer the Dunlop TrailMax Missions

The biggest reason I use the Dakars is the flat resistance, toughness of the tire, which is good for off grid. Overall performance is average to anything else in its class imo but they are noisey.
I do prefer the Trailmax otherwise for general riding. I think I may try Trailmax on rear with the Dakar front.

I have run that combo, E07 front, Trailmax rear for many thousands of miles with no ill effects. 2 long wearing tires. I actually liked them. They worked together very well for all conditions, on road and off road.

Thanks, I suspected so but with your confirmation I feel confident this will be a good combo for me.
Did you find a reduction in noise level running the Trailmax in combination over the E07?

Lund - I wear ear plugs all of the time, but I did not notice much of a sound difference. Neither were or are louder than the other. It might depend on the air pressure that is used, even road type.
