Mirror removal question

Does anyone know the thread direction of the right side mirror to remove it? I am having a heck of a time breaking it loose. The left side was no issue, threaded off as expected. My right side I believe it has some corrosion that I am going to hit with some PB blaster. After that, I want to make sure I am turning it the right direction and it’s not a reverse thread.
Thank you.

I can't speak to the S10 specifically, but every mirror I've ever removed was threaded so that wind resistance while in motion tightened the mirror in place, i.e. left side reverse thread, right side standard thread.

The Tenere has a nut that threads over a post, the post, which is attached to the bottom of the mirror, treads into the base. Right now I can not get the nut to break lose so I can unthread them mirror from the base. My left mirror, I figured would be reverse threaded, wasn’t.

That sound the way my old Vstar and Roadliner were. That nut should be regular thread (lefty loosey). The mirror itself will be reverse thread on the left and regular on the right.
Both my manual and my bike are tucked away at the moment but if you don't get it solved by tomorrow afternoon I will pull them out and take a look. Maybe the manual will have a note about it.

That’s what I figured. My bike is 12 years old and it must have some good corrosion in those threads. I will proceed with some PB blaster and try again later.
Thank you.

I think it's the right side. Throttle.
You sir are correct. The throttle side is reverse threaded. So is the nut. Btw, for anyone else who runs into corrosion and not able to get it off, the mirror post hole goes all the way through and you can get penetrating oil in from the bottom to help.

The reason for all of this is a I got some new mirror farkles called mirror locks. These have a couple bonuses. They add a helmet lockto the bike, and they also raise and move the mirrors out so I am not staring at my shoulders.

LOL, yeah I had the same issue on my gen 1 putting heated grips on em... Its reverse thread.... My mirror mount was made of cheese and rounded off, even with a line wrench....
