One of the members here is in the light colored jacket and goes nearly anywhere on PR4s.

I stand corrected :)
No, you are correct that all the Pilot Road tires are 100% street tires - but this doesn't mean that you can't take them off road, they just perform like crap under most circumstances ;)
A couple of years ago I did a trip to and around Morocco on a V-Strom with PR4 mounted. I got to all the places I wanted to visit (many of those far from tarmac), but it would have been easier and more fun on better suited tires...

I'm looking for 100% street tires. Right now looks like most places are out of PR4 regulars for the rear, so my match would be PR5 regular for the rear, and PR4 trail for the front. Anybody going to talk me out of this combination of tires? There seems to be plenty of positive street reviews here with the PR4 R and PR4 Trail F combo...... Would this new PR5 Rear not jive with the PR4 trail F ????

Guessing not, but what the hell, why not ask.

I am really liking the Metzeler Roadtec 01 for a 100% street tyre. As an option to consider Vs that combo.
