Today we're riding the Yamaha Motor Ténéré World Raid, a long-range, high-spec, big-tank version of the standard Ténéré. Long day in the saddle today, including over 100 miles off-road. Should be a good test of the bike.

Looks great ,but expensive over a standard T7 but you get a little bit more for your money, larger tank range colour tft etc etc etc , but you’ll need to long in the leg to enjoy.
Im waiting for the new T900 from Yamaha as there not ever making a 1200 ST ever again

I wonder if you have to open both gas caps to refuel, or if the fuel volume communicates between them?

I like the bigger tank. The two openings isn't ideal but I'd live with it. But I won't live with tube tires since most of my riding is pavement. I do like the bike though. Hope they sell a ton of them.

So, what is the purpose/advantage?
One of the test ride articles I read stated that it was designed that way to prevent the fuel from sloshing around, as compared to a larger half empty tank. I can’t remember what article that was, but it was obviously pretty recently.

if it's anything like my KTM950 Adventure was, you have to open both caps and fill up each side individually. They communicate, but not fast enough to only fill from one side

So, does one tank empty before it draws from the other? 'Cuz, two half-full half tanks are gonna slosh about the same as one half-full regular size. Unless they've added some baffling I guess.

I think it also said that it made the seat lower in stock form. The attached picture sort of indicates the seat is down below the typical tank location.View attachment 91409
If the seat is actually lower I say congratulations Yamaha for finally doing something to help the vast number of Tenere riders experiencing seat height issues.

Sat on one yesterday, looks nice but I would say the seat is pretty high , Deffo higher than the XT.
