Well the wait begins. I purchased the MCcruise for my S10 and now it is making the long trip to Texas. I have read the manual thru a couple of times and it seems pretty straightforward. To all you that have installed this system is there any tricks or things I should be aware of during the install process?
It appears that the process can be completed in about 8 hours or so.
I am gonna do my fork oil replacement at the same time so that is gonna add a bit of time.

Is there a complete fork seal kit that everyone recommends?
Thank you all for the info.

I installed the MCCruise on my 13 in April 2018. It’s a pretty straight forward install, not really difficult just takes time to open and access everything. The only minor slip up I did on mine was on one of the electrical connectors I forgot to reinstall a small plastic retainer that keeps the terminals locked into the connector. Found it on the floor when cleaning up, so apart it came again and all was well. I did have a software glitch with my original electronic control , unit but a quick talk to MCCruise and another was sent out and no more issues since.
Having the cruise control was a real life saver on our USA four corners ride we did in June of 18.

As for fork seals I’ve had good luck with the skf brand, they are a little more money than OEM but I had replaced the original seals a couple of times in 135,000 km before switching to the skf and haven’t had any further leaks.
And as others have mentioned in other posts its highly recommended to replace the metal slides also.

I installed my McCruise back in 2016 and it has worked flawless ever since. Their instructions are very good and it took me about the 8 hours for the install. No real surprises; just take your time.

Installed one on my S10 this summer. Been in heavy rain and zero issues. Only advise is to not be in a hurry. Study the instructions on every step. I had someone with me to get help and second opinions. We made sure we both were on the same page in every step. It turned out great and didn't have a single issue during the install. Oh, and leave the beer out until AFTER the install! It's not crazy hard but you need to pay attention!!

The Cruise showed up today but i missed the postman so i am gonna drop by the post office tomorrow and pick it up. Not bad. Tony sent it out from Australia on the 10th and delivery wqas attempted today so 6 days from Australia to Texas. Great service and communication so far. I am in the process of tearing the bike down now so the install will start Friday or Saturday. Looking forward to it.

Good luck with the installation, take your time, zip ties and neat wire routing are your friend, and lube the throttle cables and set free play properly. Aside from that take your time with calibration and it'll be great. When I did mine I replaced both cables so they'd be fresh.

My McCruise on the tenere is more precise with speed holding than my Laramie Dodge Ram.

I just wish we could use the oem switch for later gens with the cruise buttons built in.
