Hey everyone. I just purchased the McCruise Cruise Control. I was slow in following and verifying every step. Their instruction manual is actually really good. I followed everything to a T.

I reassembled my bike, fairings, seats, etc.

At the same time, I added Rigid D-series midnight fog lights while doing this which was very simple with a rocker switch.

I began to follow the first steps in the McCruise manual about running diagnostics. Hold Set and ON while turning the bike on and the indicator light should flash green. I get nothing. No indicator light.

I have tried steps again and again. No indicator light.

I am concerned about starting the bike up but I'm also wondering if adding the fog lights and cruise control is too much drain on the battery without the bike starting so maybe that is why the indicator light isn't coming on.

Any thoughts? Or help you can give? I looked in the troubleshooting guide but it all says to put it in diagnostic mode which I can't.

Just so you focus solely on the MCC install, why not pull the connection/fuse for the lights; it's a complication you don't need. Then charge the battery fully so this can be eliminated - should be showing >12.6volts & c14v when you rev the engine to c4k.

Page #45 of the MCC instructions deals with running the diagnostics set-up: -

As I read it the green light will flash briefly or the switch backlights will show, could be either. Then you release HS & ON & apply the front brake to get the green light.

The manufacturers have a good reputation for back-up support, so fire them an email if you are still hitting problems.
