Strange choice, being so highly personalised. If no news within 24 hrs it's probably on it's way to EE.

Don't the UK bikes have the immobilizer? Can they be easily defeated, or is it more likely to be parted it out? Looks like a nice bike!

Beautiful bike. I think you've shown us that one before, because it reminds me of the old FZ7.

Motor vehicle thieves are unfortunately a worldwide scourge...
Hope your friend gets his scoot back intact.

the immobilizer, only makes you believe that you can leave her alone… ..until reality shows you otherwise

So where the XT1200 had immobilizer?,
Mine sold in Mexico has it!
My XT660 has immobilizer!
Even that is not a garrantee, but it is another issue for the thieves!!
Other thing I do have is a GPS, with messenger I can find where the bike is, as well as I can stop the engine, and there is an application that can tell me the route that the vehicle has taken the same day, the day before or you can select the date and it will display, route, speed etc. I see it as a safety tool and it is very reliable. (I have the GPS installed in my bikes as well as my cars, cars only to know their location and route, I disable the engine to stop, bikes is enable).
In Mexico, motorcycles are very susceptible to constant theft, resason why I start using it and end up installing them in my cars too.
Good night to all.

I hope your friend gets his stunning bike back in the pre theft condition

Unfortunately in the UK if they do apprehend the thieving scrotes, all that will happen is they will be told not to do it again and go on their way.

All they hurt and inconvenience is on the victim
