mak , good morning . question ? does the madstad replace and or improves the system in place by Yamaha . range of adjustment etc .

The Madstad is adjustable up and down as well as the top of the screen forward and back. It has a little bigger diameter cross bar and has stability bars that run down to the winglet mounting holes. It also uses a wing nut style screen mounting screws that make taking your screen off easy to clean with no tools.

I originally bought the madstad mount because of people’s reviews, and one of my adjustment knobs vibrated loose on a ride. I noticed it as it fell off and bounce in the road in my mirror.

I went back and couldn’t find the knob.

the Yamaha knob setup is pretty lousy but I’ve never had any come loose, I messed with the adjustments a few times when I first got it but haven’t touched them since.

Have my windshield in a good spot so no need to change, but this bike seems to vibrate some. More than my 2012 tenere . Not sure why

my 2018 seems quite a bit smoother than the 2013, I suspect that’s mostly because of the rubber dampened handlebars.

I may need a throttle body sync . it's the only thing I can think of that would cause it to vibrate as it does. there are days when it is pretty smooth and days when its not .
