Riding dirt bikes is the one thing i have always been passionate about. As i and my buddies have aged i am the last one riding. I still love it but getting deep in the woods by myself is not really the smartest thing. This dual sport stuff is a lot of fun and while it isnt as thrilling it is very satisfying. I have taken my super t to places it shouldnt be and it did well but i really dont need to be by myself with that thing in the woods!

Oh for those out west sorry for all the greenery. If it helps it has been 100 degrees here and dry for Kentucky. It looks like rain off and on all week coming up. Hope you all get the rain and cooling you need as well. It definitely is looking bleak for a lot of areas in the west.

cycle mike4, great photos . the color green is really hard on the eyes when one hasn't seen it like that in a while .... but we are in Texas after all...
thanks for the great pictures of a great area and being a civil war buff makes it very interesting ....
confederate general decides to attack a fortified hill , " them yankees were tougher than I thought , kicked our butts . had to be the natural fort " as he leaves behind his dead and dying .... stupidity of war has never changed.

Call me a rider out of sync with his bike style, I wear vented leather jacket and certified jeans for all my riding styles, onroad/offroad (hot, cold, spring) and when it rains I have an over the pants and the jacket rain cover ‍♂

Make sure you keep the Beemers in their place . . . . behind you.

I wouldn't have invited them to travel with me if they were not good friends...we rarely speak about bikes when we travel...and I take the lead because I suggest offroad trails that I don't know so that I would take the first hit...

Yes the weather stated scattered thunder storms with some very strong over the week. I was lucky but south east of me has been hit twice with flooding in the last 2 or 3 weeks. the weather has gone crazy or I am paying a lot more attention to national weather than I used to. It seems drought or floods is all there is any more. Never the normal seasonal events that we used to encounter. In eastern KY the hills are so steep and the hollers are so narrow that heavy rains in a short time will cause flooding even with all the trees and foliage we have to slow or absorb the water. I feel sorry for those people. I sure hope the area recovers soon and my prayers are with the families and friends of the ones who didn't survive this event.
