How “cold” was it ?
They're predicting low 60s for highs, and upper 30s for lows this weekend for him. :D I'm a couple hours North of him, but have a similar forecast. And it looks like they took the rain out of the forecast. Just like yours right?

its not the temps that are an issue for us, its the 20 to 30 mph wind that makes it miserable .... the high may be in the 60's but sometimes that's at midnight before the front blows through .... it may and at times be , that the actual daytime temp is a lot colder than the official high would suggest... there in lies the problem . we ride when its pretty cool , but if its 45 and a 30 mph windchill it might not be very fun at all .

Yeah, I'm tired of the wind. We seem to have had more overall wind, at sustained higher speeds this year. It would be ok if we got it in July, August, and September. But that's when there's usually zero wind.

we were going to ride and camp ..... the front had us believing that it would produce rain along with the wind and cold .... no rain , just wind and cold ... camping in the cold is not really an issue unless you're sleeping bag sucks . but getting out of the sleeping bag in the middle of the night to pee when its really cold does suck . but have done that plenty of times . the possibility of rain was the big decider ,but it didn't come . and I slept in my big cushy sleep number bed last night ..... nice.

Make sure that weather doesn't get drunk and end up in Texas. And don't forget the "tracked toy" pics. :)

There was a guy who used to be on our Yamaha forum from Canada, him and his buddies put spiked tires on their dirt bikes for winter snow trail riding. Looked awesome.

so here I sit ,cold front pushing through (about 5 hours later than forecast ) probably very rideable , after letting the rain soak in (about a quarter inch ) but will be windy and temperatures falling so a good time to finish my Christmas shopping . the long range forecast says Christmas Day will be around 80 ..... tomorrows high about ,45 day after Christmas seems like a ride day to me.

I know the feeling. When the boys still lived at home, we've had as many as five at one time. We're down to one. They've all been "pound puppies".
