I like bikes its the riding shorts that I cant deal with (and I wear kilts ) . spandex really ?
was helping a friend yesterday and we ended up at a KTM dealer . electric assist bicycles from a couple of thousand to 15k . anybody ride those ? that dealer sells e-bikes (I going to have to do a test ride ) one of his big sellers. (coffee has not kicked in , not sure of my last statement . but e-bikes are a big part of his business. and getting bigger everyday .

Went on a 80 mile ride yesterday. Prime Idaho single track. Dusty, hot, and dry. One of our riders endo’d on a steep downhill and got knocked unconscious for a bit. Scary moments evaluating him, as he kept asking “how did I get here?” And “Where is my bike?” And then 1 minute later ask it again. We were in a rugged area, which was inaccessible by anything other than a helicopter. Fortunately he was ok, and rode his bike out.
Idaho rocks are hell on tires. 50FA1394-8A55-4401-A3B7-8FF4187BE909.jpegD952498B-F90B-49A1-BA5C-71C3A4AC420D.jpeg

It is an old boiler, there used to be a sawmill there at one time. Didn’t have time to take many pictures.

First glad your friend was and is ok. Head trauma is scary. Second looks like a good group. When bad happens it good to have more people.

Sure glad to hear your buddy is ok. that is a scary situation that far out. I do really envy you all in the western states with large areas of land that are still open to off road travel. When I was a kid and younger adult we still had that in Ky. I remember doing 60 and 65 mile rides and not doing the same trails. Now it is mostly off road parks because all public lands have been shut down. I really don't like them much. Up till the mid to late 90's all national forest's here in KY were open to cross country travel. Law suits from environmentalist and other issues have stopped all that. I mostly ride only on my own small property with the dirt bikes now. It is still fun but not like a nice day long ride! I really enjoy the pictures keep on riding and sharing.

Our thermometer hit 100F for the first time today; weird. It can't get hot enough for me to use four wheels instead of two. People around here go out of there way to impede your travel. When I'm on a bike, they're not very successful.

All the streams/rivers up here are flowing good after the wet spring, and early summer. I've seen plenty of kayaks recently, being hauled un all manner of ways.

A local MX track that I have been riding at for over 30 years just had a total redo by a track building company. This track is 100% free to anyone anytime. [Bikes only]

I never did do every double or down sided every table top but it was my first time on the new layout, I'll get it all figured out soon.

So today we went back to the track.
The land owner stopped by and was so excited about the new layout. He gave me his e-mail so I could send him pictures. he wants to start a picture board in his business for people to see.
I never ask him how much it cost to have a professional track building company come make the track but I bet it was a lot.

My granddaughters where a little intimidated at first but after some crashes they liked it.
