There's still debate whether that's the real Billy the Kid or not. There's a museum in Hico TX, claiming they have the real Billy.

my great grandfather name is William McCarty , everyone called him Billy . he died before I was born . he was old enough to been a contemporary if not the actual "Billy" . I figure in the family tree its possible the William Bonnie or William McCarty (his actual name ) might be a distant relative , as the family tree branches ..... God knows .

Apparently, the gravestone has traveled all over the place. When they decided to do a DNA test on the two "Billys", it was discovered that Billy's, and his mom's stone(s) had been moved by water during a flood. And. that's before people got involved.

The heat can be rough for sure!! At least you had a cold pool and frosty drink to look forward to.

the KOA we spent the night in was in Las Vegas New Mexico . Wednesday morning pack the bikes (KOA provided a great breakfast for a 6 dollar fee, scrambled eggs ,bacon and sausage , hash browns with hatch chiles , and pancakes with coffee and orange juice ) some confusion on our leaving as we waited for breakfast to be served .... it was in a different location at the camp grounds .... we found it , ate like kings , left an hour later than we planned.

buena vista is a better spelling , but we did burn awhile , then 100 miles out cloudy and wet . went through a steep down hill curves in some mountains and all wet . so I was puckered up for a few miles , gradually relaxing and just trying to be smooth in my inputs , bike did better than me . but I managed .
