I cannot imagine days on end as cold as y'all endure .... a normal Texas winter is we get a front and it gets cold for about 3 days then warms up till the next front knocks it back down .... winter average hi is about 60 lows 40s .... (central Texas , the state is so big people in the panhandle would say what I said as crazy , same for the people in the valley ) big state big variety .

Back around about 2005 a friend and I rode our Goldwings to Texas in March to checkout Big Bend National Park, we put more miles on in Texas than the entire rest of the trip !

my honda was dormant today , I took the new Tenere for an early morning ride . when I got home I found a screw in the center of the rear tire..... 500 miles and a screw. my 2012 Tenere with less than 500 miles got a screw to.... what does this mean?

so no dealer has the balls to patch the tire , and sadly I have no tire changing equipment myself (I have friends that do ) or I would patch it myself. and what's funny to me is I have run over every cactus or mesquite bush I can find in riding the honda x , yet no flats. thankfully it is a tubeless tire and it let me get home with no issues.... had it been a tube type it would have left me on the side of the road.... so today I will put my new tank bag system on the bike (Kriega 10 L dry bag on a kriega tank bag adapter harness ) and I can start caring my compressor and plug kit . and I ordered a new set of Pirelli scorpion SLR tires ( I'm calling them a 60/40 ) that will be here next week .... its cold and wet this week so no riding in any case . but I am now looking at buying a tire changing stand so I can do my own tires .

How bad was the puncture? Must be somewhat bad if a tire shop won’t repair.

The shop I go to will patch/plug the rear tire, but not the front. These are the only type I trust/use. Down side is that the tire does have to be removed.

I forgot about those. I have never installed them myself. Is there a special tool for threading them in the hole?

Ballistic , you hurt ? what happened ? heal quickly .

Out of service injured. PM sent to both of you.
