Managed to ride the x today, hauled it to carrots place. We did not ride but 4 miles total but had a good time. Took an hour to clear some brush off a trail then we rode the trail. It was extremely warm and humid so we did all we could.

good morning , weather and honey do's , and in july weather is about heat..... honey do's are negotiable ….. so if you want to ride you are going to sweat . the X has a headlight and have been thinking of a night trail ride at some point …… need more day practice first . any one trail ride at night ?

good evening , nothing happening , to damn hot. so here is what I've learned , you can buy a dirt bike at 60 yrs of age , and I am getting better , and I bought the right bike (based on price , as if I really sucked I would not have 12000 buried in it ) and I like looking at it even when I cant ride it ..... so I am going to take a break from this thread till something interesting happens , may be awhile …… thanks all for the support and info …. I am riding this sunday . hope ya'll get to ride also.

hot as hell here (well ,not sure the actual temperature of hell and have no desire to find out ) it is pretty hot . so will be riding the X tomorrow , and my friend and riding buddy (carrot , here on the forum) bought himself a wr250f ( so now we each have our own bike to ride , no taking turns on mine ) should be more fun.... so he has had his wr250f about 2 weeks now and has put more miles on it than I have on the X in 7 months …. of course he lives on a ranch and I live in a town ( im a bit jealous ) he can wake up and walk outside and take off in the woods from his front door . I (sad ) have to plan and then haul my bike some where (very sad ) just to practice ….. have finally checked the sag and I understand why I crash a lot now , will be replacing the rear spring for one that will support my big butt soon. my focus of late has been the tenere , had the valves checked at 31k (a little over due ) all inspect , had the recall issue (harness ) taken care of …. planning a trip in late September , so getting the bike ready.... plan A is a trip to Moab, plan B is palo duro canyon , plan C is..... well it goes on to plan E , which is I camp out in my back yard.... life can be a challenge. but I will ride somewhere.

Finally found something I can do ok. Get into the thick woods and throttle and clutch through it. It was 102 by 430 pm and we were drained. Best fun I’ve had on the dirt bike yet.

best farkle for the X is the fan …. it was hot today and the fan kept it from boiling over...the air off the radiator was pretty roasting of my right leg , in the woods with no breeze 102 and humid.
