Just fitted the Arrow Front pipes on with the Arrow end can after running with just the end can for years. Whilest I like it even with the DB Killer it seems loud, anyone else think this? I am concidering fitting the standard can back on as i like the front pipes but just got a job where there are early starts so not sure the neighbours will share my enthusiasm for the tone LOL.

Anyone else feel like this?

I’ve got the full arrow system and whilst it is a bit louder than OEM it doesn’t disturb the neighbours when I’m on earlies

I’ve the Arrow headers with the standard end can, which is a definitely louder than with the cat and it pops and bangs a bit more on the overrun, but it’s not offensive. You have my wholehearted support in getting your own back on people with bloody yapping dogs who seem to believe that barking is a sign of affection (rather than an inability to train and control)!

I had a Delkevik on mine and with the cat intact it was fine. Without the cat it became too loud for my wife and was tiring on 300+ mile days. Definitely louder without the cat.

Take off from the house in 2nd or 3rd gear just to get down the street.

Go buy a vintage American muscle car (or maybe a V12 Jaguar) from the late 60's or early 70's with a big block 426, 427, 428, 429, 440, 454, 455, or 460 engine, with a really lumpy cam in it, and install headers and a set of the stubby Flowmaster or Cherry Bomb or Dynomax mufflers on it. Make sure it's carbureted and not fuel injected, so it'll take you a bit to get it warmed up in the morning before you drive away. And drive it to work when the weather is bad or whenever you want to. Then your neighbors won't care about whatever-in-the-hell kind of exhaust system you have on your Tenere. ;)

I tried the Delkevic with my Arrow headers and it was too loud and raspy. Sold the Delkevic with about 25 miles on it and went back to the stock can. I think it's a good sound with the Arrow headers and stock can, so the oem boat anchor stays on the end of the system.

Respect for the neighbours is always a good thing, you do live next door. It is something that many lack these days.
The bigger question is how well do you know the neighbours, maybe they don't care and on a personal note what do you think of the loader exhaust, your riding the bike.
Personally i like the stealth of a quite exhaust over an annoying noise maker and so do the small communities i may ride into.

I am happy to keep the Cat on my S10 but I am thinking of getting an Arrow or Yoshi end can. I also think that loud pipes really pi$$ off non-motorcyclists and get all of us a bad press. Some of the exhaust systems on road bikes would be illegal on a race track, so let’s have some consideration for our neighbours.
