For the guys in the DFW area, Lone Star Yamaha (formerly Stadium Yamaha) in Irving TX is open on Monday.
I had a little get off in New Mexico from a tree reaching out and grabbing my arm and pulling me off the bike on a NF road last weekend and when I got home I needed some parts to get the bike repaired and ready to leave for Utah the following weekend.
I called and got hold of Marty Martin, the Parts Manager, (972-445-0825) who was very helpful in getting the parts ordered and on the way so that I could get up and running in time to leave for Utah.
Marty explained that he is from California where most motorcycle dealers open on Monday to be competitive in that market. (I wish more motorcycle dealers in our area opened on Monday)
Long story short, I got the parts I needed, (because I could order them on Monday) got the bike back together and I'm ready to roll out to Utah. When I picked up the parts, I mentioned I was going to Utah for a Tenere Gathering of about 40 Tenere riders. Marty and his crew loaded up a bag of swag to hand out at the rally and donated a nice gift for a door prize.
So if you live in the DFW area, check out Lone Star Yamaha. Even though they are not the closest Yamaha Dealer to me, I'll be going back.
